Federal Ministry of Education (FME) has announced that trainees under the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative will begin training after the ongoing verification exercise is completed.
Director of Technology and Science Education, Dr Olodo, who was represented by Deputy Director, Dr Stella Uhuegbu, said the reform is already recording results with over one million Nigerians enrolled in Masters 6 and 12 programmes.
She explained that the verification of learners is in progress and will be finalised soon to enable the commencement of training across centres.
According to her, over one million Nigerians have already been enrolled, and we’ve been told this is for Masters 6 and 12 programmes.
She further noted that more than 15,000 students will also resume studies across Federal Technical Colleges once the process is complete.
Trainees should note that the Federal Government is not rushing the exercise because it is designed to meet global standards. The focus is to ensure that all trainees acquire employable skills that meet labour market requirements, rather than attend training and return home without opportunities.
