Lafarge Africa Plc opens graduate trainee programme 2025/2026 applications

Lafarge Africa Plc, a member of the LafargeHolcim Group and one of the biggest building and concrete solutions companies in the world, has announced the opening of applications for its Graduate Trainee Programme 2025/2026. The company, which is publicly quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, provides a wide range of building and construction solutions for both small housing projects and large infrastructure developments across Nigeria.

The programme is aimed at developing young talents who are eager to build careers in a multinational company. According to the company, “Our Graduate Trainee Programme is designed to shape the next generation of leaders in technical and business functions. We are looking for motivated and tech-savvy graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience, sharpen their skills, and grow in a dynamic, performance-driven environment.”

The structure of the programme includes a 1-month induction focused on culture, safety standards, and operations, followed by a 4-month rotation that exposes trainees to Manufacturing, Commercial, Logistics, Procurement, and other business functions. Participants will also undergo a 7-month deep dive where they specialize in a chosen function and handle real project responsibilities. Each trainee will also be assigned a mentor for guidance and career development.

The company stated that applicants must have graduated no later than January 2023 with at least a Second Class degree or its equivalent in disciplines such as Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, and related fields. Candidates with 0 to 2 years of work experience or exposure to any plant environment will have an added advantage. Comfort with digital tools, data analysis, and remote collaboration platforms is also required, while active participation in student organizations, volunteer projects, or internships will be considered beneficial.

Highlighting the benefits of the programme, Lafarge Africa Plc explained, “Participants will benefit from accelerated learning in a structured environment, hands-on projects with measurable impact, mentorship from industry experts, and career growth in a multinational setting.”
