The attention of the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) has been drawn to the circulation of a fake circular across various Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs). The document allegedly invites prospective teachers willing to teach in rural areas to submit applications for employment.

In an official statement, the Board clarified that no such directive was issued. “Please note that such a directive did not come from either the Executive Chairman or the Board and, as such, should be discountenanced,” the statement read.

The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, in partnership with ASUBEB and the State Education Management Board (SEMB), emphasized that the public will be duly informed through official communication channels when the second batch of recruitment begins.

The clarification was signed by Dr. Uzoamaka Amah-Mbah, Board Secretary, on behalf of the Executive Chairman, to prevent misinformation and protect job seekers from fraudulent recruitment claims.
