The Federal Ministry of Youth Development, in collaboration with the Green Assembly Initiative, has announced the Nigerian Changemakers Award Summit 2025, a national event designed to honour outstanding Nigerians driving innovation, leadership, and unity across the country.
At a world press conference in Abuja, the organisers said the summit will spotlight individuals and organisations whose contributions to public service, private enterprise, and community development reflect the resilience and creativity of the Nigerian spirit.
Themed “Honouring Patriots: Recognising Excellence in Leadership and Nation Building,” the event aims to celebrate changemakers committed to progress, integrity, and social impact.
Former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will chair the summit, while the Vice President of Nigeria will serve as Special Guest of Honour. The Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande Wisdom, will act as Chief Host, alongside government officials, diplomats, traditional rulers, youth leaders, and industry captains.
Convener Dr. Duke Alamboye, who also leads the National Youth Leaders Forum, described the event as “a national movement to reward excellence amid ongoing economic and social challenges.” He explained that honourees were chosen based on “integrity, innovation, and measurable impact.”
Among the awardees are homegrown automobile manufacturers such as JAC Motors, distinguished governors, entrepreneurs, and humanitarian organisations. According to Dr. Alamboye, these recipients represent “a new generation of leaders who are getting it right through creativity and results.”
Green Assembly Initiative Manager Jet Philip added that the summit recognises individuals and groups “who have succeeded where others have failed, advancing the nation through service and vision.”
