The Katsina State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has released a statement addressing the status of schools and ongoing examinations across the state. In the announcement dated 24th November 2025, the ministry said that all Day primary, secondary, private and community schools should continue with their First Term examinations as originally scheduled. According to the statement, this clarification aims to maintain smooth academic activities and stop misinformation about school operations.

The ministry added that Boarding Schools will remain closed until further notice, following an earlier directive from the Katsina State Government. It explained that the closure is part of “proactive measures being implemented by the present administration to strengthen security and safeguard the lives of students and staff across the state.”

School heads, examination officers and other stakeholders in Day Schools were urged to ensure orderliness and strictly follow all examination guidelines. The ministry also called on parents and guardians to support their children throughout the examination period.
