The West African Examinations Council on Friday announced the release of the 2026 First Series results of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination for private candidates, saying they will be accessible within 12 hours.
In a statement shared on X, the examination body confirmed that candidates who sat for the exam would be able to check their results shortly after processing is completed.
“The result of CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026–First Series has been released. Candidates can access their results within the next 12 hours,” WAEC stated.
The council explained that the quick turnaround reflects its growing adoption of technology in conducting examinations and releasing results, particularly through its computer-based testing format.
WAEC noted that the CB-WASSCE, designed specifically for private candidates, is part of broader reforms aimed at improving efficiency, credibility, and the overall examination experience.
It also acknowledged the role of stakeholders in ensuring a smooth exercise, stating, “Our thanks to all stakeholders for cooperating with us to achieve this feat.”
Candidates were advised to check their results via the council’s official platforms once available.
