The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post-UTME admission screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into its undergraduate and National Diploma (ND) programmes.
According to the institution, applications opened on 18 May 2026 and will close on 20 July 2026. The admission exercise covers Degree, ND, Pre-HND, and HND programmes offered by the Nigerian Air Force-owned institution.
AFIT stated that candidates applying for Degree programmes must have a minimum UTME score of 200, while applicants for ND programmes are required to score at least 160 in the 2026 UTME.
The institution also noted that the deadline for candidates to change their institution to AFIT as first choice for Degree programmes is 3 July 2026.
The admission notice released by the institution reads partly: “Candidates are to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 for post-UTME screening B.Sc./B.Eng. and ND programmes, while Pre-HND and HND applicants are to pay N10,000.”
AFIT offers several engineering, science, management, and technology-related courses across different faculties and programme categories.
Degree programmes available for the 2026/2027 academic session include Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Telecommunication Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Physics with Electronics, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, and International Relations.
For National Diploma programmes, the institution listed Aircraft Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Business Administration and Management, as well as Explosive Ordnance Technology for military personnel only.
AFIT also confirmed that applications are open for Pre-HND and HND programmes in Aircraft Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, and related aviation technology options.
The institution advised candidates applying through Direct Entry (DE) into Degree programmes to visit the admission portal for additional requirements and screening details.
Interested applicants are expected to complete their registration through the AFIT admission portal at portal.AFIT.edu.ng.
