Unsuccessful applicants in the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recruitment are now seeing a rejection message on their dashboards, replacing the earlier “Check Back Later” notification.
The new message informs candidates that they were not selected to proceed to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) screening stage.
Screenshots shared by applicants show the notice after they entered their Screening ID and National Identification Number (NIN) on the official recruitment portal.
The latest change is for candidates who had been waiting for clarification from the CDCFIB after the “Check Back Later” message left them uncertain. These applicants had completed previous stages, including oral interviews, and called on the Board to provide clear updates.
The earlier message did not confirm whether a candidate had been successful or unsuccessful. The new notice clearly states that the affected applicant was not selected for NDLEA screening.
The recruitment covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and Federal Fire Service (FFS).
However, the screenshots represent individual applicants’ accounts. They do not mean that every candidate has received a decision or that all recruitment categories have been updated. All applicants should individually check to confirm their own status.
What to do
Applicants should check their status through the official CDCFIB recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng/ using their Screening ID and NIN. Those whose dashboards display the rejection notice have not been selected for this NDLEA screening stage. They can try again if the government announces another recruitment exercise. Avoid paying anyone who promises to change a result or secure selection.
