The Anambra State Government has announced registration for the third batch of its One Youth, Two Skills (1Youth2Skills) Plus programme, offering residents an opportunity to acquire vocational and entrepreneurial skills.
Online registration opens Tuesday, November 10, 2026, following approval by the Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC). The programme is coordinated by the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports.
Commissioner Hon. Patrick Agha Mba said registration would follow the recruitment of master trainers and re-evaluation of existing trainers.
The programme is open to Anambra residents aged 18 to 40, including persons with special needs. Graduates, non-graduates and school leavers can apply, provided they can read and write and attend at least four days of physical training weekly.
The skills were selected based on market demand, emerging opportunities and the state’s comparative advantages. The programme aims to equip participants with practical skills to establish businesses, launch start-ups or expand existing enterprises.
Agha Mba said more than 13,000 youths had benefited from the first two batches through training, empowerment and mentorship. He added that the third phase would be monitored through digital platforms and scheduled visits.
The initiative supports Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s Vision 2070 framework and Solution 2.0 agenda for expanding opportunities and strengthening youth development.
