The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has started a major partnership with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to link workers’ records under the Employees’ Compensation Scheme (ECS) to their National Identification Number (NIN). This move is expected to boost identity verification and ensure that workers’ data is more accurate and secure.
Speaking on the development, NSITF Managing Director, Barr. Oluwaseun Faleye, said the integration will improve service delivery and strengthen Nigeria’s social security system.
The Director General of NIMC, Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, confirmed that NIMC will provide full support and fast-track the data integration process.
