July 14, 2025 – The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has officially opened its recruitment portal for interested applicants across the country. This announcement was made under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) for full-time appointments into various vacant positions.
The recruitment covers three categories, with opportunities for both graduates and non-graduates seeking federal government jobs in Nigeria.
The available positions include Category A General Duty, under which Superintendent Cadre: Assistant and Superintendent II, CONPASS 08 are advertised. Category B Inspectorate Cadre vacancies are only open under Assistant Inspector, CONPASS 06.
Meanwhile, Category C: Assistant Cadre openings include Assistant II, CONPASS 04 (General Duty) and Assistant III (General Duty, Drivers/Appliance Operators, Artisans) CONPASS 03.
The NIS has also emphasised that the application is completely free.
In a statement confirmed Monday, 14th July, 2025, the NIS said, “We urge all interested Nigerians to apply only through the official recruitment portal. The process is transparent and free. Beware of fraudsters.”
Applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:
1. Must be Nigerians by birth
2. Must possess the required qualifications. Certificates not presented at the recruitment centre will not be accepted later
3. Must be physically and mentally fit with a Certificate of Medical Fitness from a recognised Government Hospital
4. Must be of good character with no criminal conviction
5. Must not have been involved in financial embarrassment
6. Must be between 18 and 35 years old
7. Male applicants must not be less than 1.65m tall; females not less than 1.60m
8. Male applicants must have a minimum chest measurement of 0.87m
9. Computer literacy is an added advantage

Interested candidates should apply through https://recruitment.cdcfib.org. The portal closes on Thursday, 17th July 2025 (three weeks from 14th July, 2025).
