The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) has announced plans to deepen collaboration with Flutterwave to drive local innovation and support national development.

Speaking during a strategic visit by Flutterwave Co-founder, Mr. Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, at NASRDA’s headquarters in Abuja, the Director General of NASRDA, Dr. Matthew Adepoju, stressed the urgent need for Nigeria to focus on homegrown solutions. “Nigeria can no longer rely on imported technologies. We must harness our local talent and resources for sustainable growth,” he said.

Mr. Aboyeji commended NASRDA’s achievements and pledged Flutterwave’s readiness to collaborate in areas such as satellite testing, communication infrastructure, and rocket development.

“We are impressed by the progress and are eager to contribute to advancing Nigeria’s space capabilities,” he said.

The visit concluded with a tour of NASRDA’s major facilities, including the AITDC, Space Museum, and Planetarium, highlighting the agency’s expanding role in technological growth.
