Ogun State Gives N150,000 Each to 85 Ikenne Women, Plans WOLEP Expansion

August 9, 2025 – In Abeokuta, Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, announced that 85 women in Ikenne Local Government Area have each received ₦150,000 through the Women Livelihood Enhancement Program.

She explained that the financial support aims to boost small business growth, create jobs, and improve economic sustainability in the community.

According to her, the initiative is part of a pilot scheme that will soon be expanded to other local government areas across the state. The program will not only provide financial aid but also offer skills training, mentorship opportunities, and continuous business development support.

She said the Women Livelihood Enhancement Program is designed to give women the tools they need for long-term success, encouraging entrepreneurship and reducing poverty rates in Ogun State.
