The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, in partnership with the Lagos State Government and the World Bank, is hosting a high-level stakeholders workshop on the National Land Titling, Registration and Documentation Programme (NLTRDP) at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.

The event brings together professionals from the built environment, real estate experts, mortgage institutions, and other financial services stakeholders to discuss strategies for land reforms.

According to the Housing Ministry, the Federal Government is working closely with the World Bank and state governments to implement the NLTRDP, aimed at unlocking the economic potential of Nigeria’s landed assets.

“This initiative will not only formalise land ownership but will also enable better access to finance for property owners,” the Ministry stated.

Officials explained that the programme could unlock up to $300 billion in dead capital within the Nigerian economy, boosting real estate development and economic growth. By improving land titling, registration, and documentation, the government hopes to stimulate investments, enhance mortgage accessibility, and strengthen property rights across the country.
