August 20, 2025 – The Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF) has announced the official launch of Phase 2, introducing a new user-friendly interface designed to simplify access to funding and support opportunities for Nigeria’s growing creative industry.
Recall that this second phase, which was initially scheduled to open on August 4 but was postponed. Application is now open today, 20th August, 2025.
According to CEDF, the upgraded portal aims to provide seamless access for creative and cultural entrepreneurs across the country. “We are committed to empowering creatives with the resources they need to innovate and expand their businesses,” the fund stated.
Eligibility for the program covers a wide range of sectors:
i. Video gaming
ii. Film, music
iii. Animation
iv. Fashion
v. Publishing
vi. Visual arts
vii. Culinary arts
viii. Tourism and heritage
Successful applicants will receive funding of up to $100,000 to scale operations, foster creativity, and support sustainable economic growth. This initiative is not just about funding but about building an ecosystem that drives long-term impact.
