Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has announced significant progress on the mid-level Agro Food Hub in Sangotedo, Eti-Osa. During his visit today, he confirmed that the project is over 90 percent complete, with finishing works now ongoing.

The hub, which covers 23,000 square meters of land, is designed to provide storage facilities, trading floors, and adequate parking spaces. According to the governor, the facility will make it easier for residents in the area to access fresh food while reducing pressure on existing markets.

“This hub is part of our broader plan to decentralize food distribution across Lagos,” Sanwo-Olu said.

He explained that similar hubs are currently being developed in Agege, Lagos Island, Oregun, and Ikorodu, with additional ones planned for Epe and Badagry. These projects will all be linked to the main logistics hub in Ketu-Ereyun, which he described as the backbone of the state’s food distribution system.

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that these investments are central to Lagos State’s food security agenda.

He noted that the projects align with the Lagos Agricultural Roadmap and the Produce for Lagos initiative. “By this time next year, I expect these hubs will already be improving food access for our residents,” he stated.
