Minister for Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, has said that youth empowerment remains a central part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking at the Strategic Youth Leadership Conference held in Abuja, Olawande represented the President at the event jointly organised by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and the National Defence College.

The conference brought together key national leaders and young representatives from across the country. Dignitaries present included the Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, GCON, and the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency Dauda Lawal, alongside other notable figures. The gathering focused on charting a new course for leadership and national development.

Addressing the youth on behalf of President Tinubu, Comrade Olawande stated, “Youth development remains central to the Renewed Hope Agenda. Nigeria’s future is not a distant dream but a present reality in the hands, hearts, and minds of our young people.”

He further explained that the administration is committed to creating skill acquisition opportunities, digital economy training, and entrepreneurship support to prepare young Nigerians for leadership roles.

The Minister highlighted that while the conference is distinct from the upcoming Youth Confab, its importance lies in prioritising leadership as the foundation for every national goal. “The uniqueness of today’s event is in the fact that leadership is central to everything else we are trying to achieve for the country in the Renewed Hope administration,” he said.

He added that the focus is not just on discussions but on actionable strategies that will empower youths to drive economic growth, innovation, and good governance. “Together, as youth, we can shape a future where our energy, creativity, and resilience would drive national development and transformation,” Olawande said.
