Applications are now open for the 2026 AIG Visiting Fellowship, a fully funded leadership and policy development opportunity for exceptional Nigerian public sector leaders. The fellowship is offered by the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation in partnership with the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, and is designed to strengthen leadership capacity in Nigeria’s public service through global learning and high-level policy engagement.
This prestigious fellowship provides selected fellows with the opportunity to undertake an immersive learning experience at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, where they will engage with world-class academics, policy experts, and senior public leaders from across the globe. The programme is intended to equip participants with advanced leadership tools, governance knowledge, and practical policy skills that can support transformative reforms in Nigeria.
The AIG Visiting Fellowship is targeted at senior Nigerian public servants who have demonstrated measurable impact in governance and public administration. It is specifically designed for leaders who are already shaping policy and implementing reforms in strategic sectors of national development.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be Nigerian public sector professionals occupying leadership-level roles equivalent to Director General, Chief Executive Officer, or similar senior positions
- Demonstrate measurable and verifiable impact in implementing successful reforms or improvements in public service delivery within the last five years
- Have direct oversight of strategic initiatives in at least one key sector such as health, education, agriculture, finance, security, trade, infrastructure, justice, energy, or public administration
- Possess at least a master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Have a minimum of four years remaining before mandatory retirement from service
