The Akwa Ibom Civil Service main examination commenced on Tuesday for the first batch, and the result for the CBT examination is now out on each candidate’s portal. The CBT results appear instantly on the dashboard of the Arise Employment Portal, which can be accessed at cbt.akwaibomstate.gov.ng, and are also sent to each candidate’s email.
Applicants who score 40% or above will be shortlisted for the next stage, which is the interview phase.
The CBT result displays each candidate’s score, total passed, and total failed. However, if the claims by Governor Umo Eno are true, any candidate who fails the CBT examination will not be offered the job, regardless of their connections. Governor Eno has repeatedly stated that “there is no slot; it is either you pass the exams and start work, or you fail and go home.”
There have been complaints that the Akwa Ibom Civil Service Commission allocated 40 minutes for 60 questions in the main exam, compared to 45 minutes for 50 questions in the mock CBT. Still, this is not enough reason for candidates who do not meet the cut-off mark.
Applicants who have not yet received their email invites will get them soon, as invitations are being sent out in batches, ensuring every eligible candidate receives theirs.
