Akwa Ibom Increases Student Bursary to ₦50,000

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has approved an increase in student bursary from ₦20,000 to ₦50,000 per student. The governor disclosed this via his social media handles on Tuesday. He said, “Dear Akwa Ibom students, I am pleased to announce that bursary amounts have been increased from ₦20,000 to ₦50,000 per student.”

Eno added that the decision supports education under the ARISE Agenda, easing family burdens and investing in youths pursuing their dreams with dignity. The announcement aims to strengthen access to education across the state for all students.
