The Developing Engineering Leaders Through Her (DELT-Her) initiative is now open for applications from Nigerian women who have strong engineering ideas and want to turn them into startup companies. This government-backed program supports women-led engineering innovations through mentorship and startup funding.

According to organizers, “The goal is to not only fund brilliant ideas but to inspire young girls nationwide by showcasing success stories from women in engineering.” The program aims to change public perception and get more school-age girls interested in engineering careers.

DELT-Her takes inspiration from international programs like the Anita Borg Institute, the UN Foundation’s Girl Up!, and the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia.
