29 May, 2025 – Are you a young person living in Enugu State and looking for a real chance to learn a valuable skill? The Enugu State Government, in partnership with ITF-NECA, C-STEMP, and the Enugu SME Agency, is offering a fully sponsored 4-month intensive training in plumbing installation and maintenance as well as painting and decoration.
This youth empowerment program is part of Governor Peter Mbah’s efforts to fight youth unemployment and boost economic development through technical and vocational education. The training will provide practical, hands-on experience and professional certification for young people ready to build a career in construction.
“This is not just about skill acquisition. It’s about creating a future for Ndi Enugu youths,” the organisers stated.
The free vocational training in Enugu is open to individuals aged 18 to 35 years who live in Enugu State. Applicants must have valid means of identification and show commitment and interest in the training. Basic literacy and communication skills are also helpful.
Training will last 4 months and will include post-training support, such as help with starting your own business or getting a job in plumbing or painting.
