Apply: Federal University of Technology Akure 2025/2026 Post-UTME Admission Screening

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has officially announced the commencement of online registration for its Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the Registrar, C. O. Adeleye, the registration begins on Friday, 25th July and will close on Friday, 28th August, 2025.

In a statement released from the Office of the Registrar, it was stated that the screening is for candidates seeking admission into all courses and programmes offered by the institution.

“The Federal University of Technology, Akure,FUTA online registration for Post-UTME screening exercise for the purpose of admission into all Courses/programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session commences on Friday, 25th July and ends on Friday, 28th August, 2025,” the notice read.

Eligibility Criteria:

i. Candidates who scored a minimum of 180 in the 2025 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
ii. Direct Entry (DE) candidates who made the Federal University of Technology (FUTA) their First Choice Institution are eligible for the screening.
iii. candidate must possess at least five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings in O’ level examinations conducted by WAEC, NECO and NABTEB or their equivalent.
iv. Candidate must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2025.

Applicants are also advised to upload their O’ level results to JAMB CAPS and share them with FUTA on or before the closing date.

“Candidates must ensure that their O’ level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS and share FUTA on or before Friday, 28th August, 2025. Failure to do this will render the affected candidates ineligible for admission,” the statement added.

A screening fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) is required and should be paid via the Remita platform at any commercial bank after generating the payment code.

How to Apply:

i. visit the University admission website Here;
ii. complete and submit the University Post-UTME Application Form ONLINE; and
iii. Print out a copy of the Registration Form.

Candidates must enter their correct UTME Registration Number and Full Name as it appears on their JAMB slip. “The Registration Form is mandatory for all eligible candidates to complete for the screening exercise,” the Registrar stated.

Any candidate who does not complete the registration within the scheduled period will not be considered for admission.
