The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), through its Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI), has officially announced the GITEX Nigeria Roadshow 2025, an initiative to discover and promote tech startups across all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

The roadshow will tour Lagos, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, Abuja FCT, Gombe, and Kano in a national tech discovery tour from June to August 2025. The goal is to spotlight Nigeria’s most promising startups ahead of the GITEX Nigeria 2025 Startup Festival, set to take place in Abuja from September 1–4, 2025.

“This is a national call for bold Nigerian innovators. We want to meet the next generation of tech startups and help them shine on a national and global stage,” ONDI stated in a release.

The roadshow will give early-stage and growth-stage startups an opportunity to pitch their solutions to top investors, partners, hubs, and ecosystem leaders. Finalists from each zone will be sponsored to exhibit at GITEX Nigeria 2025, the country’s biggest innovation showcase, with a chance to connect further with international platforms such as GITEX Global in Dubai.

Eligible startups must be working in sectors like FinTech, HealthTech, AgriTech, EdTech, CreativeTech, ClimateTech, or AI, and either registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) or currently in progress via the Nigeria Startup Portal.

“If you have a scalable tech solution and are solving real problems in Nigeria, this is your moment,” said a GITEX Nigeria representative. “We are calling on founders from across Nigeria to nominate themselves and their startups.” The six stops on the tour include:

  • Lagos State (South West)
  • Enugu State (South East)
  • Akwa Ibom State (South South)
  • Abuja FCT (North Central)
  • Gombe State (North East)
  • Kano State (North West)
