June 2, 2025 – The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK, in collaboration with Imperial Enterprise Lab, has announced the opening of applications for the 2025 Commonwealth Startup Fellowship (CSF). The programme will run from Monday, 2 June to Monday, 30 June 2025.
According to the official release, “The Commonwealth Startup Fellowship is a six-month programme designed to ignite and elevate high potential startups from low and middle-income countries across the Commonwealth.”
To qualify, applicants must be graduates, citizens or refugees from eligible Commonwealth countries, and permanent residents in those nations. They must also be fluent in both written and spoken English, and must not have participated in a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in the last five years. Fellows must be available from the start date set by the organisers.
Successful applicants are expected to show innovation in their product, service, or market, and must have been actively developing their startup for at least six months. Teams should have a working minimum viable product or prototype, and be able to show real customer interest—such as early sales, signed contracts, or other proof of demand.
The CSF is an opportunity for tech startups and entrepreneurs to gain global exposure and support.
