The Kano State Cottage Trade and Street Hawking Agency, under the office of His Excellency Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf, Executive Governor of Kano State, has announced job openings for temporary Ad-Hoc Staff. The initiative focuses on monitoring informal trade and supporting economic development in Kano State.
“This program is part of our effort to ensure safer and more organised trading in our communities,” the agency stated in a public announcement.
To qualify, applicants must have a Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) and possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of local markets and the ability to work with minimal supervision are also required. Basic IT experience is an added advantage.
Ad-hoc staff will help collect data on street hawkers and cottage traders, support registration processes, and engage respectfully with traders and the public.
