In a new update from the Bauchi State and Local Government Contributory Pension Commission, retirees who left service in December 2011 and January 2012 can now collect their long-awaited gratuity cheques.
According to a statement signed by Muhammad Sani Yunusa, Information Officer and PRO, the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Alh. Ibrahim Inuwa, has confirmed that the cheques are ready. “This is part of the commitment by the Bauchi State Government to off-set backlogs of inherited gratuity in phases,” he said.
The payment exercise will take place on Friday, 13th June, 2025, at 10:00am. Retirees are to report to the Commission Headquarters along Adamu Jumba Road, opposite Jifatu Shopping Complex, Bauchi.
“All targeted retirees are expected to come with their relevant documents for screening before the issuance of the gratuity cheques,” the statement added.

The Commission thanked retirees for their patience, saying the Governor Bala Mohammed administration is working hard to support their welfare through timely pension payments and gratuity settlements.
