The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has opened applications for its Oil & Gas Field Readiness Training Programme aimed at equipping young Nigerian graduates with practical industry skills, internship opportunities, and career pathways in the oil and gas sector.

The programme is part of NCDMB’s human capital development initiative designed to prepare Nigerian youths for opportunities within the energy industry through specialised training in Operations & Maintenance as well as Digital Skills relevant to the oil and gas sector.

The training is targeted at graduates seeking to build careers in the industry while gaining technical and professional exposure that aligns with current industry demands.

About the NCDMB Oil & Gas Field Readiness Training Programme

The NCDMB Oil & Gas Field Readiness Training Programme is focused on developing a skilled workforce for Nigeria’s oil and gas sector by providing participants with industry-relevant training and practical exposure.

Selected applicants will undergo specialised training designed to improve technical competence and workplace readiness. The initiative is expected to help bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements while increasing employability for young Nigerian graduates.

The programme will also expose participants to opportunities in Operations & Maintenance and digital-based roles within the energy sector, positioning them for future career growth.

Applicable Educational Disciplines

The programme is open to graduates from the following disciplines:

  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering
  • Instrumentation & Control
  • Computer Science
  • Systems Engineering
  • Computer Engineering

Applicants from related Engineering, Science, and Technology disciplines may also be considered.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must be below 30 years old
  • Must possess an HND, BSc, or BEng qualification
  • Qualification must be in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, or related disciplines
  • Applicants are expected to complete their profile and academic records on the application portal before registration

Application Process

NCDMB provided different application guidelines depending on the status of applicants on the portal.

New Applicants

New users are required to create an account on the application portal through nogicjqs.gov.ng/accounts.

After creating an account, applicants are expected to update their profile, upload academic records, and proceed to register for the training programme.

Applicants With Incomplete Profiles

Applicants who already have accounts but have not completed their profile details are required to log in through nogicjqs.gov.ng/accounts/login.

They are expected to complete their academic records and continue with registration for the NCDMB Oil & Gas Training Programme.

Applicants With Complete Profiles

Existing users with complete profiles can simply log in, update their information if necessary, and proceed directly with programme registration.

Internship and Career Opportunities

One of the major highlights of the programme is the opportunity for participants to gain industry exposure and improve their chances of securing internships and career opportunities within the oil and gas sector.
