The Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission has officially launched its 2025 recruitment exercise, opening the online application portal on July 7. According to a public announcement signed by Hon. Femi Julius Okedoyin, Chairman of the Commission, the recruitment drive will span until Monday, July 14, 2025.
In his statement, Hon. Okedoyin said the initiative reflects the “Oyo State Government’s commitment to strengthening the legislative workforce and creating job opportunities for citizens.” He added that the exercise aims to fill 33 distinct administrative and technical job positions within the Legislative Service.
Available roles include Administrative Officer II, Accountant II, Information and Public Relations Officer II, State/Legislative Counsel I, Sergeant-at-Arms, Legislative Officer II, Official Reporter, Librarian II, Budget Officer II, and Higher Executive Officers in General Duties, Accounts, and Information. Other roles cover Confidential Secretary I, Higher Store Officer, Assistant Executive Officers (Accounts, General Duties, Legislative Matters, Information), Confidential Secretary III, Assistant Technical Officer (Electrical), Assistant Superintendent of Press, Assistant Store Officer, Secretarial Assistant II and IV, Clerical Officer II, Health Assistant, Technical Assistant I (Electrical), Clerical Assistant, Office Assistant, Store Assistant, Motor Driver, Watchman, and Gardner.
Applicants must meet the academic and professional criteria specific to each role. For high-level positions like those on GL. 08, applicants are required to possess a degree in relevant disciplines and must have passed the Public Service Examination (PSE) conducted by ASCON between 2023 and 2025, often with a minimum of Merit Grade. Roles on lower levels require qualifications such as HND, OND, trade certificates, or secondary school certificates. Some positions demand technical skills, relevant experience, or a valid driver’s license.
