The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has completed the digital oral interview for the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

The Board described the exercise as a first in its history, with the oral interview conducted through a hybrid digital model. Shortlisted candidates presented their official invitation slips at designated zonal centres, where the documents were scanned and verified through the CDCFIB recruitment portal before candidates proceeded for interviews.
According to the Board, scores were captured digitally in real time, reducing the need for thousands of applicants to travel to Abuja. It also said the system helped reduce logistical challenges, travel costs and stress for candidates while bringing the recruitment process closer to applicants across the country.
Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A M Jibril, the Secretary to the Board, visited oral interview centres across the six geopolitical zones during the exercise. The Board said he expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the interviews and commended the panels and candidates.
According to the CDCFIB, the recruitment process remains free, fair, transparent and merit-based. The Board also said applicants should remain patient and await further updates on the recruitment exercise.
The digital interview formed a key stage of the 2024/2025 recruitment process involving the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services. The completion of the exercise means shortlisted candidates who participated must now wait for the Board’s next communication.
The CDCFIB said it would continue with its digital approach to recruitment as part of efforts to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Applicants are therefore advised to rely on official CDCFIB communication for subsequent information about the recruitment process and avoid relying on unverified messages.
