The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the temporary suspension of its recruitment application portal.
Recall that there is ongoing CDCFIB recruitment into the four agencies, including Immigration Service, Civil Defence Corps, Correction Service, and Fire Service.
According to an official statement issued on July 16, 2025, the portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng will resume operations on Monday, July 21st, 2025.
This move, according to the board, is aimed at improving the overall efficiency of the recruitment system. “This development will ensure that the portal accommodates the high volume of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process,” the statement read.
The CDCFIB expressed appreciation for the growing interest shown by Nigerian youths in joining the nation’s paramilitary services.
“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies and are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process,” said Maj Gen AM Jibril (rtd), Secretary to the Board.
This update is crucial for job seekers looking for federal government jobs, civil service opportunities, and career growth. Currently, the enormous traffic to the website is too higher than expected, which has led to crashes.
It is expected that the Board will use the remaining days before Monday to upgrade the portal systems to accommodate registrations, and also make the applications smoother.
