The Abia State Government has officially released the results of the Abia TECHRISE 3.0 Computer-Based Test (CBT), with 850 candidates emerging successful from a total of 19,881 applicants across the state.

The announcement marks a major milestone in the ongoing digital empowerment initiative being implemented by the Abia State Government and the 17 Local Government Councils in collaboration with Learn Factory, aimed at equipping young people with technology skills, access to laptops, and employment opportunities.

According to details released by the organisers, the successful candidates were selected based on performance in the CBT examination, with the top 50 applicants chosen from each of the 17 Local Government Areas, ensuring equal representation across the state.

850 shortlisted candidates move to verification stage

With the CBT phase now concluded, all shortlisted applicants will proceed to the next stage of the programme — the Local Government Area verification exercise.

The verification stage is expected to confirm the eligibility and documentation of each selected participant before final onboarding into the training programme.

Authorities stated that dates, venues, and further instructions for the verification process will be communicated directly by each candidate’s respective LGA coordinator.

The official campaign notice accompanying the result release clearly states: “CBT Results Released – 850 Candidates Selected – Next: LGA Verification.”

Strong competition reflects growing demand

The large number of applicants — nearly 20,000 — highlights the increasing demand for structured digital skills programmes in Abia State, especially among young Nigerians seeking opportunities in technology-driven careers.

TECHRISE has continued to attract significant interest because of its practical benefits, which include free laptops, intensive tech training, and pathways to job opportunities for successful participants.

This growing competition also reflects the expanding relevance of digital literacy as more young Nigerians turn to technology as a route to employment, entrepreneurship, and remote work opportunities.

ABSSIN requirement mandatory for selected applicants

Organisers have also issued an important notice to successful candidates regarding compliance requirements ahead of programme resumption.

All selected applicants are required to obtain their ABSSIN before resumption, with a warning that failure to do so may result in forfeiture of their slot.

This condition is part of the programme’s administrative verification framework and is expected to ensure proper identity documentation for all beneficiaries.

How to check Abia TECHRISE results

Applicants who participated in the TECHRISE 3.0 CBT examination can now check their result status online through the official portal.
