A document currently trending on social media, especially Facebook, shows that the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN), sitting in Abuja, has fixed Tuesday, November 4, 2025, for the mention of a suit filed by Jinaidu Shehu and nine others on behalf of aggrieved N-Power beneficiaries against the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation and three others.
According to the notice, the case, with suit number NICN/ABI/214/2025, was filed by “Mnaidu Shehu & 9 Others” against “The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation & 3 Others.” The document, signed by Chief Registrar Mult Adebayo, stated that the case will be mentioned before the National Industrial Court sitting at 10, Port-Harcourt Crescent, Area 11, Garki, Abuja, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
The notice reads: “TAKE NOTICE that the above mention case will now be listed for Mention before the National Industrial Court sitting at 10, Port-Harcourt Crescent Area 11, Garki, Abuja on Tuesday 4th November, 2025 at 9.00 a.m. AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that this Notice shall be sufficiently served on you, if it is left at your address for service or sent by registered post to the address in any case where the date of service by post is material, section 25 of the Interpretation Act, 1964 shall apply.”
It was dated September 1, 2025, and addressed to Co-Claimants’ Counsel, A.A. Hikima Esq, of A.A. Hikima & Co., located at No. C05 Khairat Plaza, Opposite NYSC Secretariat, Gwarzo Road, Kano, Kano State.
Earlier, Nigeriastartupact.ng reported that the N-Power beneficiaries had accused the ministry of failing to pay their stipends and approached the court seeking an order to compel the federal government to release their outstanding allowances under the N-Power programme.
