FG, DBN Launch N100m Grant for 3MTT Fellows’ Startups

July 3, 2025 – The Federal Government has announced a N100 million grant in partnership with the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) to support startups and small businesses created by fellows of the 3MTT (3 Million Technical Talent) program. This was disclosed by Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.

According to the Minister, “We recently marked another milestone in our mission to uplift Nigeria’s youth, by partnering with the Development Bank of Nigeria Plc to expand opportunities for our 3MTT Nigeria fellows.”

The grant is aimed at helping 3MTT fellows scale their startups and MSMEs, ensuring their digital and technical skills are matched with financial support. Dr. Tijani added, “This initiative is a strong example of how government can work hand-in-hand with the private sector to create meaningful impact.”

He noted the move aligns with President Tinubu’s vision of achieving a $1 trillion economy, saying, “Innovation thrives best when it is backed by collaboration and intentional investment in people.”
