The Federal Government’s National Youth Conference 2026 begins its physical phase on Wednesday, November 4, at the Army Conference Centre, Abuja. Convened by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, it is themed “Next Gen Nigeria: Crafting Solutions, Owning the Future.”
It follows virtual consultations held from October 5 to 21 and aims to develop youth-led recommendations.
Discussions will cover governance; entrepreneurship and jobs; education and skills; technology and digital innovation; climate action and energy transition; and security and social cohesion.
The process draws perspectives from all 360 federal constituencies, the six geopolitical zones and Nigerians in the diaspora. The gathering runs until November 9.
What young Nigerians should know
The conference is for Nigerians aged 18 to 35. Registration is closed, so this is not a recruitment exercise. Updates are available at nationalyouthconfab.gov.ng, including conference activities.
