The Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD), in partnership with Tiko, has officially launched the Yo! Health Initiative to improve the health and wellbeing of young Nigerians.
This new programme addresses major youth health issues like alcohol and drug abuse, mental health, sexual and reproductive health, health insurance for youth in the informal sector, communicable diseases such as HIV and STIs, and non-communicable diseases including cancer and obesity.
The initiative promotes youth empowerment by delivering accessible health information, raising awareness, and helping young people take charge of their wellbeing. It also pushes for better health policies that reflect youth concerns. Programmes are designed to meet real needs with measurable results.
