No fewer than 200 widows in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, have benefited from a N5 million cash support programme initiated by Adegboyega Adegoke to cushion the impact of rising economic hardship.
The initiative, held at Aweni Arena, Oke-Ado, saw beneficiaries receive financial assistance aimed at supporting their daily needs, particularly during the Ramadan period.
Speaking at the event, Adegoke, who is also Chairman of Solutions 93.9FM, said the intervention was designed to assist the less privileged and provide relief amid current economic pressures. He added that the programme aligns with efforts to promote compassion and social support during Ramadan.
Adegoke, the Aare Onibon Balogun of Ibadanland, urged recipients to pray for peace, unity, and national development.
Some beneficiaries expressed appreciation, describing the gesture as timely and impactful.
