Recall that NIYEEDEP/YEIDEP disbursement of N50,000 to N500,000 was scheduled for today July 1st, 2025. However, there is no official confirmation from the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD) or the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Programme (YEIDEP) regarding any postponement of the long-anticipated disbursement.

A viral circular currently circulating on social media such as Facebook claims that disbursement has been moved. The fake notice outlines supposed timelines, including:

Application deadline of August 31st, 2025

Collation of beneficiaries’ account details from September 1st to 10th

Engagement with beneficiaries from September 11th to October 11th

Disbursement to Batch “A” between October 20th and 30th

However, all of this remains unconfirmed. According to trusted sources, “Neither FMYD nor YEIDEP has issued any communication suggesting the disbursement schedule has changed.”

Applicants and interested youths are advised to remain calm and hopeful. The disbursement was never promised to happen only on July 1st. As clearly stated in prior communications, “Disbursement is expected to begin between July 1st and July 31st.” This means it may occur at any point within the month.

While the viral circular appears convincing, with proper logo placement and social media handles, it should be treated as unofficial until verified.

“You should calm your mind down… Don’t give up, just hope as you always do,” one hopeful shared in response to the panic.
