The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamilu Muhammad (Jaga), has launched a need-based scholarship programme for students in Kaduna State. The Zaria Local Government Advisory Committee confirmed the initiative is designed to ease financial stress for learners across the region.
At the grand launch, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria, Dr. Suleiman Balarabe, represented by Mal. Mustapha Sani (Madugun Zazzau), praised the scholarship. “This generous initiative will undoubtedly alleviate financial burdens and promote educational access for many students in Zaria,” he said.
The scholarship will cover key education costs for 2,000 students, including JAMB and NECO fees for secondary students and registration for HND, NCE, and Diploma programmes in tertiary institutions.
