Dikko Umaru Radda has rewarded two outstanding graduating students of Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management with brand new vehicles in recognition of their academic excellence.
The presentation ceremony was held at the Government House in Katsina, days after the Governor made the promise during the institution’s convocation ceremony held on April 28, 2026.
The beneficiaries are Ibrahim Mai Nasara Bugaje from the Department of Networking and System Security and Aisha Isiaku from the Department of Computer Software Engineering.
Bugaje graduated with a CGPA of 4.92, while Aisha Isiaku earned a CGPA of 4.75, making them the overall best graduating students of KSITM for the academic session.
Governor Radda had earlier announced that the best graduating students would receive vehicles alongside permanent and pensionable employment opportunities as part of efforts to encourage academic excellence in the state.
Speaking during the presentation, the Governor congratulated the students for their outstanding performance and urged them to continue making positive contributions to Katsina State and the country.
“I congratulate the two of you for reaching this important milestone,” Radda said.
“I hope you will continue to be beneficial to the state, put more effort into its development, and inspire younger generations to follow in your footsteps.”
The Governor described the reward as a fulfillment of his administration’s commitment to recognising and encouraging hard work among students in tertiary institutions across the state.
“This is a promise fulfilled, and we thank Almighty God for granting us the opportunity to do so,” he stated.
“We also appreciate the parents for their guidance, support, and mentorship, as well as the Institute of Technology and Management for the quality training and education provided to these students.”
Radda also prayed for the continued success of the students and encouraged them to remain focused as they begin their professional careers.
Earlier, the Katsina State Head of Service, Alhaji Falalu Bawale, formally presented the students to the Governor and recalled the promise made during the institution’s convocation ceremony.
“Among the graduates, we have exceptional students who distinguished themselves with outstanding academic performance,” Bawale said.
“Your Excellency, as you promised, today we are here to fulfill that promise by presenting and handing over the keys of the two vehicles to these outstanding students.”
He added that the gesture reflects the state government’s long-standing tradition of rewarding excellence and motivating young people to strive for academic success.
The event was attended by the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji, members of the Katsina State Executive Council, senior government officials, and the management of KSITM.
