The Lagos State Government has successfully distributed ATM cards to 49,203 beneficiaries of the Renewed Hope programme across the state between April 2025 and April 2026, according to official distribution records.

The figures showed that 47,126 ATM cards were brought by PSPs between April and December 2025, while 40,615 cards were distributed during the period, leaving a balance of 6,511 cards.

A separate record covering January to April 2026 showed that another 11,100 ATM cards were brought for distribution, with 8,588 successfully distributed to beneficiaries across the 20 LGAs in Lagos State. The balance left after the exercise stood at 2,512 cards.

Combined data from both periods showed that a total of 58,226 ATM cards were supplied for the programme, while 49,203 beneficiaries successfully received their cards across the state during the review period.

Alimosho, Ikorodu, Kosofe, Agege, Badagry and Ifako-Ijaye recorded some of the highest numbers of distributed ATM cards during the exercise, reflecting strong participation across densely populated areas of the state.

Ikorodu recorded 6,890 distributed cards between April and December 2025, the highest figure during that phase, while Alimosho followed with 4,970 beneficiaries receiving ATM cards. Kosofe recorded 3,073 distributions, while Agege had 2,647.

During the January to April 2026 phase, Alimosho again recorded one of the highest figures with 1,515 cards distributed, followed by Kosofe with 1,478 and Badagry with 1,141.

The distribution exercise covered all 20 LGAs in Lagos State, including Ajeromi, Mushin, Surulere, Oshodi-Isolo, Lagos Mainland, Lagos Island, Ojo, Epe, Eti-Osa and Apapa.

The ATM cards were distributed under the Renewed Hope beneficiaries support framework aimed at improving access to financial support and social intervention programmes for residents across the state.

Officials involved in the exercise described the distribution as a major success, noting that the large number of beneficiaries reached across the LGAs reflected the scale of implementation achieved during the review period.

“This distribution exercise demonstrates the commitment to ensuring beneficiaries across Lagos State are captured and provided access to the programme seamlessly,” the report stated.
