The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, fnipr, has said that the policies and programs of the President Bola Tinubu-led federal government are already bringing visible benefits to Nigerians. He made this known during an interaction with support groups of the All Progressives Congress at Radio House in Abuja earlier today. Idris explained that the administration has recorded progress in key areas and is committed to sustaining this momentum.

According to him, “We have fulfilled many of our campaign promises. Students’ loans have been achieved, and we have put an end to fuel subsidy corruption. Our states are receiving more money, local government autonomy has come to stay, and every region now has its development commission.” He added that the economy has shown signs of improvement, saying, “Our economy has rebounded, our foreign reserve is growing, inflation is dropping. We have embarked on massive infrastructure development across all sectors of the economy in all the six geo-political zones.”

Speaking on national security, Idris highlighted new directives issued by President Tinubu. He stated that the President has approved the recruitment of more personnel into the Army and Police, along with additional support for state-level security outfits. He said these steps are expected to strengthen the country’s fight against insecurity. “We are faced with the urgent need to defeat terrorism and banditry, restore and keep the nation safe for everyone, irrespective of their tribe and tongue or their religious faith,” he said.

He encouraged the support groups to continue promoting government programs, stressing the importance of unity and commitment to the founding principles of the APC.

Leaders of the delegation, Mrs. Adenike Abubakar and Dr. Abiola Moshood, pledged the groups’ continued support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Tinubu administration.
