NASC Hosts SAPZ Programme, Signs MOU for Youth Training, Seed Production

June 2, 2025 – The National Agricultural Seeds Council (NASC) has hosted the Special Agro-industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) programme and signed an MOU to promote quality seed production in Nigeria. “This partnership will empower our youth through skills in seed production,” NASC Director-General Dr. Philip Ojo stated.

The deal will improve access to Early Generation Seeds (EGS), certified seeds, and strengthen the agricultural value chain. According to SAPZ officials, “This is a bold step toward sustainable agriculture and rural job creation,” ensuring seed system efficiency and food security nationwide.
