Some Nigerians selected for the Federal Government’s ₦50,000 National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI) grant have reported problems accessing money through NairaGram.

Screenshots show notifications stating that their wallets had been credited with ₦50,000. However, other screenshots display a “Transfer pending. Do not repeat” message when users attempt transactions. Beneficiaries claim their money has remained unresolved for more than 72 hours.

Affected users are asking NairaGram to explain the delays, confirm the status of their funds and complete pending transfers or process reversals.

The reports do not establish that all NairaGram customers or NERSI beneficiaries are affected. The screenshots do not confirm a general payment failure or reversal exercise.

NERSI is managed by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction. The government says selected beneficiaries receive the grant through approved providers, including NairaGram.

How affected beneficiaries can seek help

Users should keep transaction references and screenshots, avoid repeating pending transfers, and contact NairaGram on 0201 330 0880 or 0201 330 0881. They can call the NERSI helpline on 0700-022-2222. Never share a PIN or one-time password (OTP).
