Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI) Phase II Online Registration Begins July 28

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has officially announced the commencement of online registration for the second phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI).

This follows a strategic meeting between the Honourable Director General of the NDE, State Coordinators, as well as Zonal and National Directors.

According to the announcement, “the online registration for the Second Phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI) will commence on Monday, 28th July 2025.” The NDE emphasized that the registration portal will remain open for two weeks only, urging interested individuals to complete their registration within the specified timeframe.

The program is targeted at Nigerian youth between the ages of 18 and 40 who have never participated in any NDE training programme before.

“This programme is completely free of charge,” the statement confirmed, making it an inclusive opportunity for unemployed youths seeking government-supported skill acquisition.

The NDE also assured that full registration guidelines and further instructions will be provided in the coming days. “All eligible and interested individuals are encouraged to prepare accordingly and take full advantage of this valuable opportunity,” the announcement added.

Apply: Precision Agriculture Incubation Program Cohort 3.0

The Precision Agriculture Incubation Program (PAIP) Cohort 3.0 has opened its application for young Nigerians interested in digital and precision agriculture.

This is a 6-week training that aims to equip participants with hands-on skills and tools relevant to modern farming.

According to the organizers, “PAIP is designed to provide practical knowledge in drone technology, GIS, IoT, artificial intelligence, and data science as applied to agriculture.”

The program is organized in partnership with ISPA, DevGlobal, Dev-Afrique, DJI Academy, and AAPA. Participants will gain real-world exposure to agri-tech business models and connect with a growing network of agri-innovators.

2025/2026 MUSON/MTNF Diploma in Music: Applications Now Open

The Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON), in partnership with the MTN Foundation (MTNF), has announced the official opening of admissions into the Twentieth (20th) Cohort of the MUSON/MTNF Diploma School of Music for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This is a fully sponsored music training programme designed to support talented individuals who wish to build a professional career in music.

The entrance examination process will begin with a Written Examination on Music Theory and General Knowledge, scheduled for Tuesday, 2nd September 2025, from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

This will be followed by the On-site Practical Audition and Aural Interview, which will take place from Wednesday, 3rd to Friday, 5th September 2025, between 10:00am and 4:00pm daily.

Admission requirements:

Interested candidates must meet the following minimum academic qualifications:

i. The General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level with credits in at least five (5) subjects including English Language, OR
ii. The Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) with credits in at least 5 subjects including English Language. The five (5) credits must have been obtained at not more than two (2) sittings before applying for the Diploma course.

For MUSIC THEORY, applicants must possess a Grade five (5) or higher certificate from the MUSON School of Music or a recognized graded music certificate approved by MUSON, such as ABRSM or Trinity College, London.

Similarly, for MUSIC PRACTICAL, a Grade five (5) or higher certificate is required from MUSON or equivalent bodies like ABRSM or Trinity.

The deadline for application submissions is Monday, 25th August 2025.

“Applicants who meet the necessary criteria will be invited to participate in the entrance examinations and interviews scheduled from Saturday, 27th August to Thursday, 1st September 2025,” according to the official statement.

As of the current admission cycle, possession of a valid JAMB result is now a requirement for admission into the MUSON Diploma School of Music.

The Diploma in Music is a full-time, two (2) year programme offering advanced training in music, with majors available in the following areas: Piano, Organ, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Percussion, Classical Guitar, and Voice.

MTN Foundation Announces 2025 MUSON Music Scholarship Application

MTN Foundation has officially opened the 2025 MTN MUSON Music Scholars Programme, offering fully funded music scholarships to talented young Nigerians.

A bulk SMS sent earlier today (July 18, 2025) by MTN read, “Yello! The 2025 MTN MUSON Music Scholarship application is now live!”

This initiative is in partnership with the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON), widely regarded as Nigeria’s premium music school. The Foundation stated that the programme is designed to help passionate individuals gain an internationally recognized Diploma in Music.

Tinubu Govt to Launch Job Portal for Student Loan Beneficiaries by 2026

President Bola Tinubu’s administration, through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (@NELFUND), has revealed plans to launch a centralised job portal by 2026.

This new portal aims to help student loan beneficiaries access employment opportunities both within Nigeria and internationally.

“This development is part of broader efforts to enhance the impact of the student loan scheme and support graduates toward financial independence,” the agency stated.

While the agency clarified that it will not guarantee jobs, it emphasized that the portal is designed to ease the transition of graduates into the labour market.

According to NELFUND, the job portal forms part of the Renewed Hope agenda introduced by President Tinubu, aimed at improving economic stability, youth employment, and long-term workforce development.

Lagos State Primary Health Care Board Debunks Recruitment Notice

July 17, 2025 – The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB) has dismissed a recruitment message circulating on social media, warning Lagosians to ignore the false claim. The Board described the post as fake and a scam attempt by dishonest individuals aiming to deceive job seekers.

In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Akinwunmi Mustafa, MNI, the Board clarified that no official recruitment exercise is ongoing.

He said, “The content of the circulated message, including application procedures, requirements, and submission details, did not originate from the Board and should be completely disregarded.”

He added, “We wish to categorically state that no official recruitment exercise has been announced or authorized by theLagos State Primary Health Care Board at this time.”

Dr. Mustafa advised healthcare professionals and the general public to seek information only from the official platforms of the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board.

“Members of the public, especially healthcare professionals seeking employment, are hereby advised to rely solely on official communication channels of the Lagos State Government and the LSPHCB for verified information regarding recruitment and other official matters.”

“The information contained in the message, including application procedures, requirements, and submission details did not originate from the Board and should be disregarded.”

He added, “The LSPHCB remains firmly committed to transparency, due process, and professionalism in all its operations.”

ABSU Uturu Concludes Teaching Job Recruitment, Begins Collation

The Registrar of Abia State University, Uturu, Dr. Acho Elendu, has confirmed that the application window for teaching jobs officially closed on Wednesday, 30th June, 2025.

According to the Registrar, “Collation and tabulation of the various applications are ongoing and will be concluded shortly.”

LASCON Igando Begins Online CAS Registration for 2025/2026 Session

The Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON), Igando, has announced the start of online registration for its Computer Assisted Screening (CAS) into the 2025/2026 academic session.

This was made known by the Provost, Dr. (Mrs) Ayodeji Ogunmuyiwa, who confirmed that all qualified candidates can access full registration details through the College’s official website.

The application process begins on Tuesday, 15th July, 2025, and will close on Tuesday, 26th August, 2025. Interested applicants are expected to complete their registration before the deadline to be eligible for the screening exercise.

Dr. Ogunmuyiwa stated, “The screening will hold on Saturday, 13th September, 2025, within the College premises. Candidates will be tested only in English, Mathematics, and science-related subjects.”

She emphasized that LASCON’s admission process remains transparent and strictly based on merit.

“All applicants are advised to carefully complete their forms and print out the photo card, which will serve as their only access to the screening venue,” she added. Nursing education, admission application, and online registration remain crucial keywords in this process.

Tinubu Support Group, Karimi Bursary Award for Kogi Students 2025 (N100k Each)

July 17, 2025 – The Senator Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation, in collaboration with the Tinubu Support Group, has launched the 2025 edition of its bursary scheme for students of Kogi State origin.

A total of ₦300 million will be awarded to 3,000 qualified undergraduates across public tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

The initiative, which is fully funded by Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, who represents Kogi West Senatorial District in the Senate, aims to promote educational support and reduce the financial burden on students.

Each beneficiary will receive ₦100,000 to support their academic expenses.

Distribution of the awards is spread across Kogi’s three senatorial districts as follows: Kogi Central will receive 610 slots, Kogi East gets 1,000 slots, and Kogi West will have 1,390 slots.

Eligibility requirements:

1. Undergraduate in a public university, polytechnic, or college of education
2. Applications must be complete, with all required documents correctly submitted
3. Any submissions made before 1st August will be automatically rejected
4. Only entries made through the official portal will be accepted
5. Final-year students, previous 2024 bursary beneficiaries, and students in private institutions are not eligible

The bursary award program reflects Senator Karimi’s dedication to supporting youth empowerment and advancing educational development in Kogi State.

Only indigenous Kogi State undergraduate students in public tertiary institutions (University, Polytechnic, and College of Education) are eligible. Students in private higher institutions are not eligible.
