The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a new program called the Creative Leap Acceleration Programme (CLAP). This program is meant to help the creative and tourism sector grow in Nigeria.

CLAP is a national project that aims to make Nigeria a top player in the global creative industry. It will provide training, mentorship, and money to help creative people succeed. The government will also build creative hubs across the country. These hubs will be places where people can learn, share ideas, and grow their talents. The goal is not just to train people but to create a strong creative industry that will help Nigeria’s economy.

The Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy (FMACTCE) is supporting CLAP. The ministry wants to give Nigerian creatives the tools and chances they need to compete worldwide.

CLAP will follow a well-planned system to make sure it works well and lasts for a long time. There will be rules to guide how it runs. The government and private businesses will work together to manage resources. Experts will handle the finances and operations. Important areas like legal support, funding, and digital technology will also be included. This way, creative people will have the right support to grow and succeed.

The Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hon. Hanatu Musawa, said CLAP is designed to make Nigeria a global leader in the creative economy. She explained that the program will provide training, guidance, and financial help so that creative people can build strong careers.

She also said that CLAP will help creative people by giving them skills, guidance, money, and access to international opportunities. The program is expected to create two million jobs and boost Nigeria’s economy by $100 billion.

Now that the FEC has approved CLAP, the program will start across Nigeria. Creative hubs will open, giving people training, mentorship, and financial support.

This is an important step for Nigeria’s creative sector. CLAP aims to support creative people and take the industry to a higher level. More updates will be shared soon.
