Nigerian Army College of Nursing Yaba Begins 2025/2026 Bachelor of Nursing Science Admission

The Nigerian Army College of Nursing, Yaba-Lagos, in affiliation with the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Akoka, has announced the commencement of admission into its Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc.) programme for the 2025/2026 academic session. This opportunity is open to military personnel, paramilitary officers, and civilians, according to a recent notice released by the college.

The programme is a five-year full-time academic course aimed at training qualified candidates in modern nursing education. In the official release, the college emphasized that applicants must meet certain requirements to be considered eligible for admission into the high-demand healthcare degree programme.

To qualify, candidates must have a minimum of five credits in their O-level results (WASSCE, GCE, or NECO) at one sitting. These credits must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, which are essential science subjects for nursing education. The college also stated that “Candidate must be between the age of 18 & 25 years by October, 2025.”

In addition, only Nigerian citizens by birth are eligible to apply. Candidates must have also taken the 2025 UTME and scored a minimum of 200 marks, the notice added.

Interested candidates can register online through the official college website at www.nacon.edu.ng. The registration portal will be open from 7th July to 30th August, 2025. During registration, applicants must upload the following documents: O-level results, secondary school testimonial, birth certificate, certificate of origin, 2025 UTME result, and a passport photograph.

The college stated that screening examinations will be held between 2nd and 3rd September 2025 at the NACON Complex. It emphasized, “STUDENTS ARE TO ADHERE STRICTLY TO DATE AND TIME OF THE SCREENING EXAMINATION.”

The college clearly warned against dealing with unauthorized admission agents, stating, “The college has not authorised anyone directly/indirectly to act as admission agent… anyone dealing with any agents apart from the above contacts will be doing so at his/her own risk.”

The registrar, Lt Col A. Popoola, signed the release, and the notice concluded with a strong warning: “Beware of Fraudsters.”
