The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) has introduced aTEND, a digital attendance application for Fellows and Host Organisations, as the programme prepares to move attendance management to the new platform.
The application is designed to help Fellows record daily attendance while enabling Host Organisations to review and certify attendance records.
NJFP has released usage instructions covering app installation, sign-in, baseline registration, attendance procedures, work arrangements and troubleshooting. Fellows must complete a mandatory baseline process, including a photograph and device or biometric verification, before recording normal attendance.
Under the current pilot configuration, daily attendance has been reduced from three check-ins to two. The morning check-in window runs from 8am to 11am, while the closing check-in is to be completed within the window displayed in the app, starting from 2pm.
Fellows are required to record attendance on approved workdays and follow the arrangements configured for their work locations. The system supports on-site, remote, hybrid and approved off-site work. Fellows must use their own registered accounts and devices and report genuine technical or attendance problems through the designated support channel.
The app is currently being prepared for wider availability on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Android users have been provided with a Google Drive download folder, while the iPhone link is expected to be available from Monday, October 5, 2026. Official public store links will be shared when available.
NJFP has also scheduled an aTEND orientation and training session for Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 10am. The session will explain how to download and access the app, sign in, record attendance, certify records and resolve common issues.
Host Organisations are required to set resumption dates for Fellows who have resumed work and certify monthly attendance between the first and seventh day of the following month. They are also expected to support Fellows during the transition and remind them to complete required surveys and programme activities.
The instructions state that aTEND is only for active NJFP 2.0 Fellows. NJFP 1.0 Fellows, terminated participants and those in the pool are not permitted to use the app.
Fellows and Hosts are advised to follow NJFP’s specific communications during the transition, as the new platform may operate alongside the existing attendance process.
