Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has disclosed that ₦25.5 billion has been donated to the Oluremi @65 Education Fund, established to support the construction of the National Library.
The disclosure was made on Wednesday via her X handle, where she announced that the donation account for the Fund has been shut down as of December 31, 2025.
“I extend my appreciation to all Nigerians, family, friends, and well-wishers who generously supported the Oluremi @65 Education Fund, created in commemoration of my 65th birthday on 21st September 2025, towards building the National Library,” she wrote.
She said the support received reflects a shared commitment to education, preservation of knowledge, and national development, adding that she was encouraged by the goodwill and unity inspired by the initiative.
Tinubu further stated, “Kindly note that the donation account for the Oluremi @65 Education Fund will be shut down today, Wednesday, 31st December, 2025. The project is under the supervision of the Honourable Minister of Education, and any further support may be channelled through the Ministry.”
She disclosed that “as at today, a total of ₦25,520,708,074.35 has been donated to the Oluremi @65 Education Fund.”
The First Lady thanked all contributors to the cause and wished Nigerians and their families a prosperous 2026.
