The Oyo State Government has fixed the screening exercise for beneficiaries of its ₦153.5 million bursary for law students of Oyo State origin, as part of efforts to ease financial pressure on students in the Nigerian Law School system.
The Secretary of the Oyo State Scholarship Board, Mr. Amos Akinyanju, disclosed that the approved sum will cover 307 students in the 2024/2025 regular set across the seven accredited campuses nationwide. He said the exercise is a critical step before disbursement.
According to him, screening will begin on Monday, April 27 and end on Thursday, April 30, with activities starting by 10:00 a.m. daily at the Scholarship Board Room, Ground Floor, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Agodi, Ibadan.
Akinyanju outlined a structured schedule for the exercise. “Students from Enugu and Yenagoa campuses will be screened on Monday, Port Harcourt and Yola on Tuesday, Abuja and Kano on Wednesday, while Lagos campus students are to appear on Thursday,” he said.
He urged all affected students to strictly adhere to their assigned dates to avoid disruptions, noting that compliance will ensure a smooth and orderly process for all beneficiaries.
For enquiries or clarification regarding the screening, beneficiaries have been advised to contact the Board via 08062563729.
